Trump: talks between the US and Russia will be held on February 25

The politician made the corresponding statement in a conversation with journalists in the White House. On February 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that neither Moscow nor Washington exclude Kiev from the negotiation process to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. The statement was made after the meeting of the delegations of the two countries in Riyadh on February 18, where they discussed, in particular, the restoration of contacts between Russia and the United States. From the Russian side, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and presidential aide Yuri Ushakov attended the talks. The head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) Kirill Dmitriev also participated in the discussion of economic issues. Following the meeting, Ushakov said that the talks were “good”, the parties agreed to promote bilateral relations and take into account each other’s interests. It was also decided to create conditions for a meeting of the presidents of Russia and the United States. In turn, Dmitriev on the air of the TV channel “Russia 24” told about jokes at the negotiations between the delegations.
