In accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, social pensions will traditionally be indexed from April 1. Their average size in the Russian Federation will be 15,505 rubles, which almost corresponds to the federal subsistence level of a pensioner in 2025, Solodovnikova said. She specified that this level will be 15 250 rubles. In addition, the expert drew attention to the fact that this type of social payment may affect those citizens who have not earned the right to receive other types of pensions. This type of pension begins to be paid five years later than the generally established term - at 65 years for women and 70 years for men. The indexation will also affect recipients of pensions in accordance with FZ-166, these are categories such as veterans of the Great Patriotic War, residents of besieged Leningrad and besieged cities, persons affected by radiation and man-made disasters and a number of other Solodovnikova noted that the total number of citizens who will qualify for this type of pension will be about 700 thousand people.
