Access to it is extremely dangerous, since a person risks immediately falling into the water. And it is very difficult to get out back: the edges of the polynya break off and crumble under the weight of the body. “Irresponsible fishermen go out on the ice or go out on motor-dogs, so such a big death is allowed, this year it is an abnormally warm winter, the ice has frozen several times, and yet fishermen risk their lives on the ice. The main efforts were aimed at the safety of children, cases of finding children on ice were repeatedly revealed, Igor Pokatov, Head of the Human Safety Department at the water facilities of the GIMS Center of the State Emergency Situations Ministry of Russia for the Pskov region.
