The legendary commander, known by the call sign Voha, died at the age of 28. In the battle for Volnovakha on March 5, 2022, he was mortally wounded, covering the evacuation of civilians. "He was a boy. A boy who was deprived of an ordinary, normal childhood, youth, youth, because he knew very early what war was. But what people have not seen... It's when we went out with him on quad bikes or on motorcycles to ride, climb into some dirt, fall over, winch each other out. That's how people didn't see him. It was such minutes, hours, a lull when we left the front, recalls the envoy to the Ural Federal District. In honor of Vladimir Zhoga, streets are named, sports tournaments are organized, memory lessons are held in schools. “It’s only been three years, but there are no fewer flowers on the layings, on the memorials of the heroes of the Republic [DPR]. From year to year, everyone knows these dates, we have both festive dates and tragic ones, but everything goes with a great unified national impulse, I am very glad that this is passed on to the youth of Donbass from generation to generation, said Kirill Makarov, Minister of Youth Policy of the DPR. Also on the air of the TV channel “Russia 24” the Minister said that to honor the memory of Vokha came guys from Mangush, Volnovakha, Volodarsky district and Mariupol.
