📝 Summary

Trade wars between the US, China, Canada and Mexico will hit consumers, leading to higher prices. This opinion in an interview with "Russia 24" was expressed by investment strategist of the Criminal Code "Aricapital" Sergey Suverov.

According to him, the mutual introduction of import duties increases the risks associated with international trade. “Trade wars are always bad because they cause chaos, they cause uncertainty. <...> And, of course, they can hit consumers, because, most likely, they will lead to an increase in prices, including food, and to a decrease in the living standards of citizens, Suverov said. On March 4, US President Donald Trump announced the imposition of trade duties on most goods imported from Canada, Mexico and China. Ottawa and Beijing imposed retaliatory duties on American products.
