Former Rada deputy Kilinkarov called the deal on rare earth metals a surefire win for the USA.

As Kilinkarov noted, in the event of signing the agreement, Trump will either receive money or political dividends. "It is obvious to me that he [Trump] will include in this deal the maximum, possibly even absolutely unacceptable conditions for Ukraine. Why? Because he faces no risks. If Zelensky refuses to sign this deal, no matter what conditions Trump offers, he will declare to the whole world: 'Listen, how can you negotiate with him at all if he is unreliable even on economic matters? What can you talk to him about? And he himself proposed it. It was not my initiative. He proposed it himself and now he doesn't want to sign it.' And all of this translates into opportunities for Trump on the political track," explained the former deputy. According to Kilinkarov, if Zelensky refuses to sign the agreement, Trump may completely exclude Ukraine from the negotiating process, calling the head of the Kiev regime unreliable. The former deputy believes that the US will gain more political benefits from this deal rather than economic ones. Earlier, Trump stated that the rare earth metals deal will allow Washington to recoup funds spent on providing weapons to the Ukrainian army.
