In Voronezh detained a suspect in treason, reported on Tuesday, March 4, in the Center for public relations of the FSB of Russia.
The 33-year-old Russian citizen on his own initiative contacted a representative of the Security Service of Ukraine, sending information in the messenger that could be used against the Russian Armed Forces. “I transferred to foreign intelligence information about the activities of a regime military facility,” the statement said. As counterintelligence found out, the motive of the citizen was selfish interest. The man became a defendant in a criminal case initiated by the investigative department of the FSB in the Leningrad military district. Currently, the Russian is in custody, the investigation of the circumstances of illegal activities continues.
