A senior official of the State Space Agency was detained in Ukraine. He is accused of treason, according to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).
According to the Ministry, the detainee had access to classified information about the military-industrial complex (MIC) of the country. “The SBU exposed the mole in the State Space Agency: he was detained during a meeting in the Ministry of Strategic Industry,” the statement said. The official knew where the production of navigation systems, spare areas for the operation of strategic enterprises and military warehouses were located. He also had information about attempts to produce high-precision weapons in Ukraine and had access to closed satellite images. For the transmission of this information, he received money. “During the search, a mobile phone with anonymous chats in messengers and emails used for communication was seized from the detainee,” the SBU added. A criminal case was initiated against the official under the article on treason committed in conditions of martial law. In the near future, the defendant will choose a measure of restraint. He faces life imprisonment. Earlier, the people’s Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, who is now in custody, Alexander Dubinsky urged to convict Zelensky on charges of treason.
