On March 7, the Romanian self-nominated candidate submitted documents to the Central Election Bureau to register his candidacy for the presidency of the country. On the same day, two complaints against this registration were sent to the Constitutional Court of Romania. On March 8, the Constitutional Court rejected both applications, which allowed Georgesk to apply for the post of head of the republic. The following day, however, the Bureau suspended his candidacy; four people were in favour of confirming the self-nominated candidate, while ten were against. After the politician was not allowed to participate in the elections, his supporters staged a mass protest in Bucharest. They began to break the protective fences near the CEC building. They were interrupted by law enforcement.
