In one of these cases, related to the publication of data of CEC members, the prosecutor’s office had to connect. “Yesterday, the Prosecutor General’s Office opened a criminal case on this fact of illegal collection and disclosure of personal data. At the same time, threats against these people who work in the commission have sprung up. We cannot let this go unpunished. I interpret this primarily as an encroachment on the electoral sovereignty of the Republic of Belarus, the CEC chairman said. On January 26, presidential elections will be held in Belarus. In addition to the current head of state, Lukashenko, announced four more candidates for the post. On January 21, early voting began, for three days the turnout was more than 27%. Earlier, the head of the working group on the creation and maintenance of the information center of the CEC of the republic, Andrei Kuntsevich, told the Rossiya 24 TV channel that the information center of the CEC of the republic was opened in Belarus for the first time.
