On the portal "Public Services" may appear a service for self-prohibition of SIM cards. This was reported by the Deputy Chairman of the government of Russia – the head of the government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Grigorenko.
According to him, the self-ban on SIM cards is part of a comprehensive bill to combat Internet fraud. “Very often, fraudsters use SIM cards that are issued to other citizens, and the processing is through personal data. We propose to introduce a corresponding service on the portal "State Services" with the possibility of self-prohibition of SIM cards, he said during a meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with government members. In addition, the document provides for about 30 measures to ensure the safety of Russians. Among them is the creation of a database of fraudsters on the basis of data from the state information system Antifrod. It can be used to quickly identify scammers and prevent attempts to take a loan. Also, the authors of the bill propose to introduce mandatory marking of calls on phone screens and give the opportunity to prohibit government agencies and banks to contact citizens through foreign messengers. In addition, users of communication services in Russia will be able to establish a ban on incoming calls from abroad and refuse advertising calls and messages. On March 1, the law on self-prohibition of loans came into force in Russia. The new mechanism can be installed through public services. The self-prohibition does not apply to auto loans, mortgages, educational contracts, and existing loans. Today, March 5, during a meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with members of the government, the Chairman of the Bank of Russia Elvira Nabiullina said that the self-ban on loans has already established more than 3 million people.
