The option of self-prohibition for issuing SIM cards may appear on the portal of public services. Such a measure is included in the bill aimed at protecting against cyber fraud, the Ministry said.
The draft law includes about 30 measures, including the possibility of self-restriction on the issuance of SIM cards without personal presence. “This is necessary so that attackers could not register a SIM card in an illegal way in the name of an unsuspecting person and use it for fraudulent purposes,” the press service said. Details of the project are currently being worked out.
