Hobbies of the wife of Fedor Tyutchev dedicated an exhibition in the Muranovo estate

A love story is in the language of flowers. In the estate "Muranovo" - a literary and memorial museum created by the descendants of Fyodor Tyutchev - an exhibition dedicated to the second wife of the poet - Baroness Ernestine von Pfeffel. The daughter of a Bavarian diplomat, in the light of her was considered beautiful. This year marks the 215th anniversary of Ernestine’s birth. These places hold the memory of the last quarter of her life. Ernestine Tyutcheva first came to Muranovo in May 1876, in a letter to her adopted daughter Daria, she wrote that this corner of the Earth we adore her. The poet’s widow admired the nature of the estate. Today, this reminds the exhibits of the exhibition opened in the former coaching shop. Most of the exhibition consists of herbarium diaries. “About six dozen reproductions of herbarians are presented in this exhibition. We did not exhibit herbaria in such a volume, says Alexander Bogatyrev, director of the Muranovo Manor Museum-Reserve. On one of the pages of the album, next to the dried flowers, the inscription in French reads: "In memory of the beautiful days of 1835" and three exclamation points. For several years Tyutchev conducted diplomatic activities in Munich. Researchers believe that Ernestine dried these flowers in memory of their encounters. The poet and the baroness met two years earlier at the ball. Despite having a wife, Tyutchev began to care for Ernestine. The love story lasted until 1837, when they decided to separate. At this point in her herbarium appeared the flower of the immortal. “It is a memory, yes, that she will keep the memory of this feeling for the rest of her life, even if it ends, and they will part forever,” says the curator of the exhibition Elena Dogonina. “So here we were destined to say the last sorry,” wrote Tyutchev. But he was wrong. After the death of his first wife, fate brought him back to Ernestine von Pfeffel, and in 1839 they married. In this marriage, the couple had three children. Mary, like her mother, collected herbaria. Several of them are also featured in this exhibition. One from mom to daughter is signed "a bouquet of violets that my darling gave me.".
