According to him, this was explained by the alleged “pressure on the witness in the criminal case,” RIA Novosti reports. “Details will be later,” the lawyer promised. Alexey and Yanina Kopaigorodsky are in a case of appropriation or embezzlement related to the theft of two land plots worth 3.7 million rubles. A criminal case was also opened against them on suspicion of receiving a bribe from a businessman for 43 million rubles. The couple won't admit guilt. The former mayor of Sochi is in a Moscow jail, his wife is under house arrest.
