📝 Summary
A criminal case on the creation of a terrorist community was initiated in Dagestan after four militants who were preparing a terrorist attack in Kaspiysk were eliminated. This was reported in the SU TFR on the Republic.
According to the investigation, no later than June 2024, two residents of the republic created a terrorist community, which in November of the same year joined three more men. On March 5, during the counter-terrorist operation, four militants were eliminated while providing armed resistance. The fifth was arrested and the court placed him in custody. According to preliminary information, the eliminated militants were preparing a terrorist attack at the MIA facility in Kaspiysk and could be associated with the international terrorist organization “Islamic State” (banned in Russia). The criminal case is being investigated under two articles of the Criminal Code: “Creation of a terrorist community and its leadership”, as well as “Participation in a terrorist community”.
