The dogs were kidnapped on February 24 from the home of a 59-year-old resident of the Swiss city of Schliren. When the man returned, he found a letter demanding ransom for the release of the pets. However, instead of paying the criminals, the owner turned to the police for help. “During further investigations and cooperation with police of other countries, Polish police detained the 38-year-old suspect and found the stolen lapdogs, which on Friday were safely returned to their owner,” the publication said. A 30-year-old Norwegian was also detained at Zurich airport. Police believe he was an accomplice to the crime. He is now in custody.
