In Gizeli, the overhaul of the boarding school is coming to an end. This is the only sanatorium-type educational institution in the North Caucasus where students can undergo treatment. The work is carried out within the framework of the national project “Youth and Children”. This weekly round at the facility is a familiar thing. Each stage of repair work is controlled by the teachers of the boarding school. He and the construction team work together. They notice every new element. A tick is where it is done well, like a magazine with grades. Fortunately, there are no laggards here. As the school staff say, the contractor tries his conscience. Updating the educational institution, which for almost six decades did not know about what overhaul is, is practically a challenge to specialists. And this challenge was accepted in April 2024. Alexander Gugkaev, chief engineer of the contractor: Many partitions just stood on the ground, had to work hard. We dismantled all the engineering networks, dismantled all the floors, partially there were only windows, wiring, low current - we dismantled everything. Even the plaster of 60 percent we dismantled. And they did it again. The unique and only sanatorium-type educational institution in the North Caucasus is being updated as part of the national project “Youth and Children”. The boarding school in Gizeli is designed for 370 places, but it has 240 students. Some children here receive not only knowledge, but also medical care. A whole block is equipped for the healing process. After all the repair work is completed, they will start equipping the necessary equipment. Larisa Pukhova, Director of the boarding school in Giesel, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences: This is also within the framework of major repairs, we have full equipment and educational facilities. At the moment, we are already equipping the offices that have already been put in order, and our technical staff also works here. This is at the technical level, and desks and so on. The only thing, of course, I would like to pay attention, apparently, there were not enough funds to update the facade of the building. It also needs reconstruction. Hopefully, the Ministry of Education will find the money. Especially since here children study who need more long-term careful care than in other educational institutions.” According to experts, the facade really needs to be updated and even partially reconstructed. However, these works were not included in the project. Like the roof, which was repaired about four years ago. The gym was also put in order years earlier, but bathrooms and showers were not. In addition to classrooms, a dining room, a medical wing and a sleeping building, there is also a block for primary school for those staying in a boarding school with an overnight stay. Alexander, Gugkaev, chief engineer of the contractor: This is a former bedroom building, which was decided to be converted into classrooms for primary school. The whole "engineering" was set up here. The slag is all over, made absolutely in all rooms, the heating is also here we have already brought. In short, in order not to touch the already repaired building, everything has already been carried out here and part of the work has already been completed. There are still floors left, finishing the walls. As we see the first floor, the whole school was decorated with this kind of "decorative", we shoot it entirely, sometimes shoot with plaster, it will be seen in fact. According to the representative of the contractor, the work in this part of the building is also not included in the overall project. But, as is often the case, the builders meet. For example, at their own expense, they promise the teachers of the boarding school to make a stage in the assembly hall, as after all, there are many circles in the institution, including a theater studio. Major repairs in an educational institution for this contractor is not new. Experienced teams have already put three schools in order in the republic, and a new one was built in Beslan. The object in Gizeli was not the most complex. Alexander Gugkaev, chief engineer of the contractor organization: This object was not difficult, in terms of the fact that there are optimal ways of approach, entrance, convenient sites for unloading, the more the director and the Ministry of Education went to a meeting and the children were moved for the entire period of repair. It was supposed to be two-year, but we don’t stop giving it in a year. In total, the engineering networks have already been completed. Remained mainly cleaning and percent three jobs in the dining room. I think in March we will finish all the work.” Work within the framework of the pledged estimate was completed by 95%. The only thing that remains is that there was not enough money. But here the contractor is ready to help under certain conditions. In areas where the work has already been completed, clean up. Teachers of the institution are looking forward to the beginning of the educational process in the updated school building. They are already planning how they will meet their students, who will sit at desks in their native boarding school next academic year.
