The award was awarded to 10 women from different regions of Russia, representing the medical community. The ceremony, which took place within the framework of the forum "Women for a healthy society", was attended by the Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko, Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko, as well as the head of the FMBA Veronika Skvortsova. This year’s winners represent the medical community. Valentina Matvienko thanked the participants for their professionalism and concern. She suggested making the prize an annual award and presenting it ahead of March 8. “Among the laureates, women who rescued the wounded under enemy shelling delivered medicines to frontline cities, real ascetics working in remote areas of the Arctic, oncologists who discover new methods of cancer treatment, as well as women who are leading important public work to preserve the memory of doctors participating in the Great Patriotic War,” said the Chairman of the Federation Council. The event was organized by the Federation Council and the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation. Matvienko also expressed support for the relatives and friends of the special operation participants.
