During the conversation, the governor talked about supporting regional businesses and thanked the federal authorities for their assistance. Valentina Matviyenko emphasized that overcoming the difficulties due to the special situation of the Kaliningrad region is possible through joint efforts. "Separate tools and mechanisms should be in place for the Kaliningrad region to counter the problems created by neighbors. The better we work, the more dignified our response will be," she said. "We not only want to achieve pre-sanction period indicators, but also to double them. We have prepared a special program that allows each business representative to fully decompose in all areas of the economy, which will enable us to achieve growth in the regional GDP."
