A resident of Urvani has been engaged in flowers for more than ten years. Every year new varieties grow on the beds. He inherited the property from his elders. Dolov plants tulips in autumn. But the preparation begins much earlier. First of all, the greenhouses are in order. In winter, they constantly maintain the same temperature, humidity and lighting. Each stage of flower breeding requires knowledge and experience, says Amir. The most difficult is the so-called tulip distillation. This is the process that causes plants to bloom at unusual times of year. The collection of tulips begins from the end of February. The process requires care: each flower is dug out by hand so as not to damage the bulb and neighboring plants. Finished bouquets are carried to special rooms. There are also comfortable conditions for flowers. So that the tulips stay fresh for a long time and retain their appearance. Tulips from Urvan district are in great demand not only in Kabardino-Balkaria, but also abroad. These bright flowers, which became a symbol of spring and beauty, are a favorite gift for beloved women and an indispensable attribute of festive celebrations. The demand for flowers is always high, says Amir. This year, Dolov plans to expand the plantations: he wants to plant not only new types of tulips, but also exquisite eustoma and lush chrysanthemums.
