In the Ivanovo region will arrive “Oncopatrul”

From 4 to 6 March in the Ivanovo region will host the All-Russian information and educational project "Oncopatrul". Specialists of the National Institute of Radiology of the Ministry of Health of Russia together with doctors of the Ivanovo Regional Oncology Dispensary will conduct a large-scale program of events aimed at oncology education, professional development of the medical community and the formation of a responsible attitude of society to the issues of early diagnosis of cancer. The opening of the "Oncopatrol" will take place on March 4. In Ivanovo for the first time in the history of the project will open a room for stomatized oncology patients. Also, on March 4, medical teams of the National Institute of Radiology and the Ivanovo Oncology Clinic will begin surveys of employees of a number of enterprises, it is planned to conduct more than 1,500 studies per day and check more than 500 people for the presence of cancer at the most common localizations. For the first time in the region, PIPAC-therapy will be carried out - an innovative method of treatment for stomach cancer, which is already successfully used in the National Institute of Radiology. On the basis of the Ivanovo Oncological Dispensary, seven surgical and endoscopic master classes from leading oncosurgeons will be held at once. They will perform operations on the pancreas, lungs, mammary and prostate gland, gastrointestinal tract, and also demonstrate brachytherapy technologies. On March 5, an educational seminar for students “Oncopatrul for the whole family” will be held at Ivanovo State University, which will unite 39 higher and secondary educational institutions of the region. On the same day, the Twelfth multidisciplinary scientific and practical conference for primary care physicians - therapists, endocrinologists, gastroenterologists, urologists, dentists, oncologists, andrologists, ultrasound specialists, pulmonologists and heads of medical institutions for the formation of oncology will begin. Future doctors will be able to take part in Onkodebaty, as well as attend the lecture "Training in the residency of the National Institute of Radiology". Winners will have the opportunity to enter the residency of the federal center free of charge. The key event on March 6 will be the Great Civil Dialogue, dedicated to the formation of oncological care and countering the cancer threat in Russia. Representatives of enterprises and public organizations, authorities, the medical community of the region will take part in it. A special guest will be the chief oncologist of the Ministry of Health of Russia Andrei Kaprin. The project will end with the final action "Oncopatrol" in the center "Solaris", which will summarize the results of the project in the region and indicate further steps to combat cancer.
