In the Orel region detained two suspects in the illegal transportation of explosives, weapons and ammunition. A criminal case was opened, the defendants were arrested, the regional department of the FSB reported.
The operation was carried out with the power support of Regardie. It was established that a resident of the urban-type village Zalegoshch born in 1993 purchased firearms, as well as ammunition and explosives and delivered them to the Orel region. "He stored and maintained the weapons of destruction of his friend born in 1983," the FSB said in a statement. The suspects were detained while transporting 524.6 grams of plastic explosive and three electrodetonators, RIA Novosti reports. In addition, two AK-74 assault rifles and carbines, a small-caliber rifle and a smoothbore rifle, as well as 90 cartridges of various calibers, were seized from illegal trafficking.
