It was previously reported that the former Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation, Alexey Semenov, who was arrested on charges of fraud, was granted permanent residency in Israel on November 10, 2024. This was the reason why he was remanded in custody. Semenov was under surveillance by FSB officers, who uncovered the embezzlement of budget funds amounting to over 240 million rubles during the implementation of a state contract in 2012. The Federal State Unitary Enterprise "ZashitaInfoTrans" was involved in executing this contract.
