In Veliky Novgorod opened the fifth All-Russian Olympiad on financial literacy and entrepreneurship

Competitions are organized under the national project "Effective and Competitive Economy" with the support of the Bank of Russia, the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Finance of Russia. All tasks are solved in an online format. 130 students of the 36th school of the regional center got acquainted with the basics of financial literacy. For many students, this Olympiad is an opportunity not only to gain new knowledge, but also to apply it in practice. The organizers promise to help children understand not only the basics, but also some subtleties of financial literacy, namely budget planning and, of course, countering fraudsters. Many modern schoolchildren from an early age have a children's plastic card, which pays for purchases not only in stores, but also on marketplaces. And it is in online trading that there is a high probability of encountering criminals. And some already had that experience when scammers made phone calls. And now there’s cheating where kids least expect it – in social media and games. The fact that teenagers have become more interested in the topic of finance, say the figures: over 5 years, the number of participants in the Olympiad has tripled. Last year alone, more than 9,600 children from our region underwent it. And this time, the range of topics has expanded: now the guys will learn who are "droppers" and what is good financial health. Students of any age can take part in the Olympiad. Until April 3, everyone needs to register on the project page on the https://finance.uchi.ru platform and complete tasks on any convenient day.
