In Khabarovsk, the court found the journalist of Forbes Russia Sergey Mingazov guilty of spreading fakes about the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and imposed a fine of 700 thousand rubles, the regional prosecutor’s office reported.
According to the materials of the criminal case, in April 2022 and May 2023, the 56-year-old journalist published in his social networks posts with false information about the actions of the Russian army. A criminal case was opened against the man on the public dissemination of knowingly false information containing data on the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The SU TFR in the Khabarovsk Territory reported that a forensic linguistic examination was carried out, the results of which, among other things, allowed to indict Mingazov and send a criminal case to court. According to Kommersant, the journalist made three reposts in his Telegram channel about the events in Bucha in April-May 2022, thereby discrediting the army. He partially admitted guilt and repented, asked for a sentence not related to imprisonment.
