Krasnodar Krai ranks third in Russia in terms of the effectiveness of industrial policy implementation. Production of industrial products already exceeds agriculture in terms of contribution to the gross regional product, equaled with the food industry in the share of processing enterprises of the region and came to the first place in the structure of the investment portfolio of Kuban. Over 9 years, more than 13.8 billion rubles were allocated for the development of enterprises of the industrial complex of the region. Compared to 2016, the volume of shipments of industrial products of own production has increased 2.5 times. At the end of last year, it reached more than 619.7 billion rubles. The volume of taxes from manufacturers to the regional budget has tripled, amounting to 23.1 billion rubles in 2024. The volume of investments in fixed capital has increased almost 9 times. At the beginning of March 2018, on the initiative of Veniamin Kondratiev, the Industrial Development Fund was created in the region, on the same dates in 2023, the Industrial Policy Department received the status of a ministry and these results are the result of joint work of institutions over the past years. According to the Vice-Governor of Kuban Alexander Ruppel, at the end of last year, industrialists invested about 66 billion rubles in the creation of production facilities and the development of existing capacities - almost 40% more than in 2023. This is the first time in the history of this sector of the region’s economy. At the same time, the volume of investments in machine tool construction and clothing production has been increased by 4 times, electric equipment by 3.5 times, construction materials and metalworking by 1.5 times. The industry of the region became the driver of the entire economy of Kuban.
