Large families in Udmurtia will be able to attend cultural events for free. This was reported by the press service of the State Council of the Republic. At the session on Tuesday, February 26, deputies made changes to the republican law “On measures for social support of large families”. Now the law provides for free visits by any member of a large family of state museums, parks of culture and recreation under the jurisdiction of Udmurtia, as well as exhibitions held by state bodies or institutions of Udmurtia. “In the past, only children were allowed to visit state museums, culture and recreation parks for free, but now all family members are free. And now there is no territorial restriction. Before that, only residents of Udmurtia could use the privilege, and today, regardless of where they live, large families from any region of Russia can visit museums, parks and exhibitions in the territory of Udmurtia for free, said Andrei Uraskin, Chairman of the State Council Standing Committee on Culture, Tourism and National Policy. Earlier, in the regional legislation, free visits to the above-mentioned cultural institutions and events were provided no more than once a month only for children from large families permanently residing in the territory of Udmurtia.
