Thus, the diplomat commented on the statement of French President Emmanuel Macron that it is impossible to touch Russian assets, but it is possible to transfer income from them to Ukraine. “We want to ask our French colleagues to explain in what international legal document it is allowed to use the profit from what you stole,” Lavrov said. Earlier, Politico reported that Germany, France, Italy and Spain, as well as the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen oppose the transfer of Russian assets to the Kiev regime. However, this is due to the fact that the Europeans want to use Russian funds as a bargaining chip.
