The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have concentrated manpower and equipment in the western districts of Chasov Yar in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). The enemy controls no more than 15% of the area of the city, said military expert Andrei Marochko.
Russian units are advancing in this settlement. The “gray” zone has increased, as the AFU pulled its forces and means to the west, the expert explained. “Therefore, I can say that no more than 10-15% of Ukrainian militants control in this village,” Marochko said. By February 15, 20% of the area of Chasov Yar was under the control of the APU. Meanwhile, the units of the Vostok group are developing an offensive west of the Great Novoselka and pushing the defense of the AFU throughout the front. To the border with the Dnipropetrovsk region remained less than 10 km. However, the APU is trying to gain a foothold and send reinforcements to Clock Yar, said March 3, the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin. Russian fighters fight in the Clock Yar for each entrance, said the first Deputy Chairman of the Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian integration and relations with compatriots Viktor Vodolatsky.
