About 0.5% of the territory of the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) remains under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported by military expert Andrei Marochko.
According to him, recently the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the occupied territory of the LPR is less than 1%. On February 22, Russian servicemen liberated the village of Novolyubovka. "With the liberation of Novolyubovka, the percentage [of the LPR territory controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine] decreases to half a percent," Marochko said. He added that at the moment, two settlements of the republic remain under the control of the AFU - Petrivske and Belorovka. On February 20, First Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Colonel-General Sergei Rudskoy, said that the Russian army controls about 75% of the territories of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.
