In the Chelyabinsk region on the eve of March 8 brought more than 4 million flowers. In addition to tulips and mimosa, 166,000 other plant species were brought to the region to make bouquets, as well as 17,000 potted orchids.
Under the control of the Ural Interregional Directorate of the Rosselkhoznadzor, three large batches of tulips were imported from China for 480,000 each. In total, on the eve of the holiday, more than 4 million flowers arrived in the region, most of them are tulips, said Tatiana Nakhtigal, spokeswoman for the Ural Interregional Directorate of Rosselkhoznadzor. All batches of plants were examined by specialists of Rosselkhoznadzor and took samples necessary for safety. Pests in the flowers were not found, so the goods were allowed to sell.
