On the eve, February 26, the head of the Russian foreign Ministry said about the impossibility of freezing hostilities along the contact line, which could have a negative impact on the market, said Finam.ru. The index of the Moscow Exchange decreased to 3,262 points, subsequently adjusted to 3,280 points. Since the inauguration of US President Donald Trump in January 2025, the Moscow Exchange index has risen by more than 300 points. Lavrov at a press conference following his visit to Qatar explained the impossibility of stopping the conflict on the contact line with the provisions of the Russian Constitution. The foreign Minister also said that Moscow does not support the deployment of peacekeepers from European countries in Ukraine without the consent of the Russian side.
