Previously, each exhibit of this collection was at the bottom of Baikal and Angara, and now it will take its place in the exposition of the museum. They've already found a place for them. “This is a theatrical descent to the Angara River. The area is very large. And we finally stopped there, because the views of the Angara are magnificent, says Vladimir Tikhonov, director of the architectural and ethnographic museum "Taltsy". The collection of anchors was transferred to the museum by the family of Irkutsk patrons. They have been collecting them for more than 20 years, including with the help of divers. No one except the hosts saw the anchor. So the idea came to transfer them to the museum. To deliver the heavyweights to Taltsy, a crane and two trucks were needed. "This year, the Tales are 45 years old. And my wife and I decided to donate a unique collection of Baikal anchors to the Talts so that they would continue to live here and delight the people who visit this beautiful museum, said Anton Grigorov. A total of 51 anchors. All different shapes, sizes and weights. There are small ones - about 50 kilograms, and there are giants. Each exhibit was assigned a registration number. Now they need to be restored, registered with the state museum fund and conduct research work to understand what ships they belonged to. Anchors will be installed on special podiums, and information plates will be placed nearby. The exhibition is planned to open on the day of the 45th anniversary of the museum.
