The restoration took two months.

Specialists of the Russian Museum have completed the restoration of two paintings from the collection of the Belgorod State Art Museum. The paintings were in ruined condition, it took a month and a half to restore them. The breakthrough in the center of the painting by Mikhail Dobronravov “On Flower Farming” was fixed with the help of special fabric and paper, the old varnish was removed and the loss of painting was made up. Portrait of "Andryusha" artist Anatoly Levitin wrote on top of the landscape, without processing the edge, because of which the colorful layer began to recede. Specialists strengthened the canvas, changed the subframe, on which all the inscriptions and a paper sticker were transferred - this is important for the history of the painting. Now both works will be presented at the exhibition about the art of the Belgorod land, which takes place in the Marble Palace. “The craftsmanship of our restorers is world-class. Without any beautiful words. It's true. And therefore, works of any degree of complexity can be performed by restorers of the Russian Museum, followers of the St. Petersburg restoration school, which is distinguished by special sensitivity in relation to the work, says Alla Manilova, General Director of the Russian Museum.
