Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed resolutions on the creation of three new special economic zones (SEZ) in the Moscow, Novosibirsk and Vologda regions. The documents will be published on the website of the Russian government.
The Big Serpukhov SEZ in the Moscow region will create about 900 jobs by launching the production of medicines and autonomous fire extinguishing devices, as well as developing a system for disinfecting and sterilizing medical devices and creating Russian equipment for DNA research. In the SEZ "Novosibirsk" plan to start work five companies. Residents plan to create two transport and logistics centers, build a plant producing paving slabs, launch an enterprise for the production of electrical equipment, and establish a waste-free sawmill line. Six residents of the Vologda SEZ, in turn, will begin the production of furniture, bearings, low-pressure amalgam lamps, will engage in metallurgical production, as well as the creation of house kits and wooden building materials. Companies located in special economic zones will be able to enjoy tax benefits and customs preferences. In addition, rent payments for them will be reduced. Earlier it was reported that the area of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow, on the territory of which 220 companies currently operate, plans to expand from 2.8 to 3.8 million square meters by 2030.
