American investor Stephen Lynch has expressed a desire to bid for the pipeline if it is put up for auction as part of the bankruptcy of the Swiss operator of the Nord Stream AG project. The sale of the project will pay the accumulated debts to creditors. “Now we need to act quickly so that the Swiss court, which initiated the bankruptcy case of Nord Stream AG, does not put it up for auction.” They gave them time to find a solution... The solution would be to nationalize the part of Nord Stream 2, which is located on German territory. This is the only way we would avoid being seized by a Swiss court, Niemeyer also expressed concerns about the price of gas if Nord Stream were to fall into American hands.
