On the Day of Defender of the Fatherland, the Post No. 1 of Krasnodar turned 47 years old

On the Defender of the Fatherland Day, the Post No. 1 movement in Krasnodar turned 47 years old. Post No. 1 was solemnly opened on the Square of Heroes’ Memory at the Fire of Eternal Glory in Krasnodar on February 23, 1978. Since then, it has become an integral part of the patriotic education of young people and a symbol of the memory of the heroes who gave their lives for the Motherland. For almost half a century, more than 40 thousand young men and women stepped on the Watch of Memory at the Eternal Flame. Every year, about a thousand Krasnodar teenagers participate in the movement. In spring, the third All-Russian Patriotic Forum “Post No. 1” will be held in the regional center. Every year, participants from all over Russia, as well as delegations from sister cities and partner cities of Krasnodar from Belarus, Abkhazia and Republika Srpska gather at the event. About 50 regions have already confirmed their participation this year. Earlier in the news Krasnodar region: On the Day of Defender of the Fatherland in Sochi, the Alley of Heroes was opened.
