The riot managed to suppress only special forces. It was necessary to cordon off the territory and even block roads. After years of investigation, the court put an end to the case. The instigators were found guilty under articles “Mass riots” and “Disorganization of the activities of institutions that ensure isolation from society”. “Taking into account the opinion of the public prosecutor, the court sentenced the perpetrators to prison terms ranging from 5.5 years to 21 years, serving their sentences in strict and special regime correctional colonies. The three convicts were sentenced to serve the first from those to five years in prison, said Alexander Shovkoplyas, assistant prosecutor of the Irkutsk region for interaction with the media and the public.
