In the Andropovsky district court of Stavropol, five participants in the riots at the airport of Makhachkala were sentenced. The offenders are sentenced to prison terms from 8 to 10 years.
The defendants were found guilty of riots, violation of security requirements at transport infrastructure facilities. “The court also fully satisfied the civil claims of the victims for the recovery of material damage,” the press service of the court said. The courts of Stavropol consider criminal cases on the fact of riots at Uytash airport in Makhachkala in October 2023 against several dozen defendants. Some of the sentences have already been handed down, TASS reports. As reported earlier in the Prosecutor’s office, the participants of the riots were damaged and destroyed the property of the airport more than 24 million rubles.
