They will pay with mineral resources, something else, but all this depends on the conditions under which this conflict will actually end, Trenin said. According to him, a resource deal between Kiev and Washington will also be concluded, since “the Ukrainians have absolutely nowhere to go.” Earlier, US President Donald Trump expressed hope for a positive outcome of the upcoming talks between the American and Ukrainian delegations in Saudi Arabia. At a meeting in Jeddah on March 11, Washington intends to determine the readiness of Kiev to make significant concessions for the sake of concluding a peace treaty.
