In the Vologda region, the Prosecutor’s office will check reports of mass refusals of women to have abortions in medical institutions. This is reported by the regional prosecutor’s office.
The appeal to the department was sent by the deputy of the legislative Assembly of the region Alexander Morozov. According to him, local women point out that it is almost impossible to have an abortion in a public hospital. Having been refused in their region, they go to neighboring countries and spend them for a fee. “For example, one of the women who approached me, a trip to the Yaroslavl region for this purpose cost 50,000 rubles,” the deputy wrote on his VKontakte page. The supervisory authority noted that in case of violation of legislation in the field of health care, residents of the region can contact the prosecutor's office for a personal reception or provide information by phone. If the facts are confirmed, the agency will take appropriate measures.
