Chelyabinsk state traffic inspectors decided to fight drunk drivers on the Internet. They created a chatbot where you can anonymously report a drunk driving.
The new product will allow residents of the region to quickly report potential violators. Only a photo of a car with state plates is required. “As soon as they receive information about a drunk driver, the head of the traffic police department sees it, the duty officer sees it, regardless of the time of day and the closest crew who are on the road, transmits this information,” says Ivan Putkov, head of the traffic police in the Chelyabinsk region. For rapid arrest, operatives will use traffic cameras. “If in 2023 we had 59 posts, in 2024 – already 359 posts and 200 video cameras ensure compliance with traffic rules,” said Alexander Grib, Minister of Public Security of the Chelyabinsk region. Since the beginning of the year, traffic police detained more than one and a half thousand drunk motorists.
