📝 Summary

Deliveries of Russian oil through the Druzhba pipeline to the Czech Republic were stopped due to problems with payments. This is reported by Reuters.

On March 4, the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, Lukasz Vlček, announced the cessation of Russian oil supplies through Druzhba. The suspension of supplies was caused by payment problems between the Polish owner of the Czech refineries and Russian suppliers. Problems with payments are associated with the latest package of anti-Russian sanctions of the United States. Sources of the Agency reported that the Russian side canceled applications for supplies in March. In January, the agency wrote that the Czech Republic plans to increase oil supplies bypassing Russia through TAL in the second quarter of 2025. Such a decision will allow the country to separate from Russian raw materials.
