Reuters: the United States may turn off Starlink if Kiev refuses to deal with fossils

The Starlink system is actively used by the AFU in combat operations. The issue of continuing the work of Starlink, according to one of the sources of Reuters, was discussed by Volodymyr Zelensky and US Special Representative for Ukraine Keith Kellogg on Thursday, February 20. The same topic was raised by representatives of the American authorities after Zelensky refused to sign the initial version of the deal on fossils. As one of the interlocutors told Reuters, if Ukraine does not sign an agreement on natural resources, the shutdown of Starlink satellite Internet will be inevitable. “The loss of Starlink ... would be a huge blow,” a source told Reuters. Earlier in Kiev expressed fears that Starlink can be turned off at any time, and this will cause chaos in the APU. Ukrainian troops are actively using Starlink terminals for communications, including for drone control. State Duma deputy from the Crimea and member of the security Committee Mikhail Sheremet urged the Mask to disconnect the APU from Starlink. The parliamentarian noted that this Musk will contribute to the cessation of bloodshed.
