Ukraine is working on an alternative to Starlink

In connection with the growing tension in relations between Kiev and Washington after Donald Trump came to power, opinions appear that the United States will disconnect Ukraine from Starlink, which is actively used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces for combat operations. There are alternatives to Starlink in Ukraine. We're working on it. Soon, together with the Ministry of Information, the Ministry of Strategic Industry and other colleagues from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense, we will inform you how we will have these decisions, the minister said. Umerov’s words are transmitted by the Telegram-channel “Politics of the Country”. On February 22, the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Andriy Kovalenko also mentioned work on the likeness of Starlink. According to him, Nezalezhnaya already has its own communication systems, which are allegedly used on the battlefield. Earlier, Elon Musk denied the information about the disconnection of Starlink in Ukraine in case of its refusal to conclude a deal on rare earth metals.
