"Macron's statement is human and political meanness towards Russia, and hypocrisy towards Ukraine," Rogov told RIA Novosti. In his opinion, Macron’s rhetoric is not aimed at supporting the Kiev regime led by Vladimir Zelensky, but is done in the interests of supranational elites. The source added that these elites seek to prevent the strengthening of the position of US President Donald Trump and prevent possible peace talks between Moscow and Washington. Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, assessing the rhetoric of Paris, asked about the expediency of the arrival of a new French ambassador to Russia. The statement of the French leader criticized the head of the French Patriots party Florian Filippo, who linked the words of Macron about the “Russian threat” with the desire to involve Paris in the conflict with Moscow.
