📝 Summary

The leader of the French Patriots party, Florian Filippo, tore the flag of the European Union during a rally for the withdrawal of France from the community (Frexit).

The demonstration took place in Paris on the initiative of the Patriots party. The protesters opposed not only the continuation of the country’s membership in the EU, but also in NATO. Protesters marched through the center of the French capital with slogans: "Frexit!", "Enough of Europe", "Stop NATO", "For peace". They also called for the resignation of President Emmanuel Macron, reports RIA Novosti. As Filippo said earlier, France’s exit from the European Union will allow it to defend its national interests. The politician made calls for Frexit in late 2024 after an EU court ruling obliging France to pay benefits to families of illegal migrants. Filippo said it was against all laws, including the constitution.
