In Russia, it is a non-working holiday, but in 2025 it falls on a Saturday. “As a rule, when a weekend and a non-working holiday coincide, the day off is moved to the next working day after the holiday. However, according to the government decree “On the postponement of weekends in 2025”, this day is postponed to Friday, June 13, – said TASS in Rostrud. In addition, the Ministry noted that Friday, March 7, is a pre-holiday day, in which the duration of the working day is reduced by an hour. This year, the next shortened week falls on the May holidays - from 1 to 4 May and from 8 to 11 May. Earlier in Rostrud reported that there will be no additional weekends due to the holiday of February 23 this year. Weekend from Sunday, February 23, postponed to Thursday, May 8. The department noted that February 23 is not part of the calendar days of vacation. Those who work on this day are entitled to double pay.
