According to the study, this figure, obtained as a result of the survey, is 1.5 thousand rubles, or 3% more than in June last year. So, in 2024, Russians considered pension payments worth a little more than 48 thousand rubles. “The older the respondents, the higher the amount of an acceptable pension: young people under 25 consider 47,400 rubles a sufficient level, while the average requests of Russians over 45 years old are 50,200 rubles,” the study said. According to the survey, citizens with a monthly income not exceeding 50 thousand rubles, an average of 45 900 rubles is enough. Those who receive more than 100 thousand rubles, already call the figure 51 thousand rubles. The highest pension expectations are among Muscovites (an average of 52,400 rubles) and St. Petersburgers (51,700 rubles). In third place was Khabarovsk, in which the pension is considered acceptable at the level of 50 000 rubles. As previously reported, in March 2025, pensioners who celebrated their 80th anniversary in February will increase their pension. As noted by associate professor of the Financial University under the government of the Russian Federation Igor Balynin, the increase will be more than 10 thousand rubles.
