The Federation Council at the plenary session approved the increase of fines for violation of the norms on combating the financing of extremism and terrorism to one million rubles.
Thus, if banks and credit institutions in any way interfere with inspections or fail to comply with the regulations imposed in the framework of combating money laundering, terrorist financing and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, they will pay increased fines – up to one million rubles. As an alternative to monetary penalties, the activities of companies can be suspended administratively. Officials, in turn, can be fined in the amount of 30 to 50 thousand rubles, or disqualified for up to two or three years. Earlier it became known that the Kuzminsky court of Moscow within one day appointed a resident 11 fines for publishing extremist content on his page in social networks.
